Welcome to the PSO!
Everything you need to set up your PrintStick Organizer and get the most out of it.
Congrats — you’ve taken the first step toward organizing your life with the PrintStick Organizer. This hub holds everything you need to set it up and get the most out of it.
Back up your file first. Keep a spare copy somewhere safe — iCloud, Dropbox, or an external drive. If your PSO ever gets damaged or you lose pages, you can always restore it.
The PSO works inside any app that lets you annotate PDFs. I use and recommend GoodNotes — it’s the simplest and most intuitive, and support is offered for GoodNotes specifically.
Apple devices: GoodNotes, ZoomNotes, Noteshelf, CollaNote, Notability, Zinnia.
Android devices: Xodo, Noteshelf, Penly.
If you can read this page, you’re on the right track. Open the PSO file, tap the Export / Share icon (or the three dots), and choose Open in GoodNotes (or your favorite note-taking app). That’s it — your PSO is ready to use.
The buttons in the top-left take you to: this page, the community, the downloads library, the video playlist, and the FAQs.
The buttons at the bottom-left open each of PrintStick’s social channels — handy for quick tips and inspiration.
Hundreds of pages can feel daunting. You don’t need all of them — pick what fits your life:
- Record what matters to you: routines, special dates, chores, finances, goals, projects, work or studies, workouts, books and shows, contacts, travel, and stray thoughts.
- Set up the “build once” pages (like contacts or goals), then revisit them whenever you want.
- Find a calendar rhythm that works for you: months only, weeks, or both.
- Choose which trackers you’ll actually use, and add them to your checklists so you remember to update them.
My favorite way to store and organize stickers on iPad is Stixer. You can also keep them in Photos or Files. To drop one onto a page, open the app in Split View, long-press an element, and drag it onto the PSO.

To connect your PSO to Calendar and unlock the extra action buttons (iPad only), install the PrintStick Shortcut. Once installed, the top-right buttons can: create a Calendar event, see upcoming events, check today’s weather, open Stixer, add a reminder, and create a Google Calendar event.

The links only work when the toolbar is hidden. Tap Read Only at the top-left to hide the toolbar and make the buttons active — now you can navigate with a tap.
With a tool selected, you can also long-press a button and tap Open Link.
The PSO is built to switch pages with no lag, but heavy use can introduce a white “blink.” A few habits keep it smooth:
- Go easy on images and stickers — stacked layers slow a page down.
- Use the Ball Pen; it runs faster than other pen types.
- Prefer fonts (or Scribble handwriting) over heavy pen strokes for tidy, light pages.
- Empty the trash now and then to shrink the file.
Open the spread you want, tap the Pages icon (top-left) to see thumbnails, find your page, tap the little arrow below it, and choose Duplicate. Drag the copy to reposition it.
To copy several pages: tap Select (top-right), tap the pages you want, then Copy → Done. Go to where you want them, tap the arrow again, and choose Add Page After → Paste Pages.
Add any sticky or image to decorate pages, mark special dates, or customize layouts.
Method 1 (Lasso): open a .GoodNotes file with the elements, lasso a small selection over one, tap it and choose Copy. Go to your page, long-press, and Paste.
Method 2 (Split View): save the PNGs to Stixer, Files, or Photos, open the PSO, drag that app to the side, then drag an element straight onto the page.
Most PSO elements are black or white, so you can block out and replace any text with the pen tool. These are the other colors used throughout the PSO:

As a PSO owner you get access to the PrintStick Organizer Library — stickys to modify the boxes and sections in your PSO, plus cover pages, stickers, decorative elements, and more.
Website: Bought at printstick.shop? Just log into your account using the same email you checked out with — that’s it.
Etsy: Bought on Etsy? Follow the sign-up instructions included in your Etsy order downloads (they come in a separate text file).
Some downloads arrive as a .zip. To open it, find the file in the Files app on iPad or iPhone and tap it — it decompresses automatically, and you’ll see the items in usable formats.
Send a PDF straight into GoodNotes: tap the Export / Share icon and choose Copy to GoodNotes. When GoodNotes opens, pick Import as New Document. Done.
PNGs have a transparent background and drop onto pages like any image. Three easy ways:
- Save to Camera Roll, then use the Image tool in GoodNotes to place each one.
- Save to Files, open Files beside GoodNotes in Split View, then drag an element onto a page.
- Save to Stixer, open it in Split View, and drag elements straight onto your pages.
Files ending in GoodNotes.zip are ready to use — usually a set of items you can copy and paste anywhere. Send the file into GoodNotes via Export / Share → Copy to GoodNotes, then choose Import as New Document (not “Import to current document,” which would mix it into your PSO).
Stixer is by far my favorite way to store and organize stickers on iPad. Add your Stixer download link to this text — select “Download Stixer” and add the URL in the rich-text toolbar.
